This discussion, surrounding the release of the Migration Policy Institute’s latest book – Diasporas: New Partners in Global Development Policy – focused on the role diasporas play in development efforts in their countries of origin. The discussion was moderated by the book’s editor, Kathleen Newland, who directs MPI’s program on Migrants, Migration, and Development; and speakers included Karen D.
